Readaria for Mac · 13 October 2026
No account, no server
Readaria has no accounts and runs no servers of its own. Your articles, highlights, notes and audio are files on your Mac, kept in your own iCloud Drive if you use it, so they reach your other devices through Apple and no one else.
What leaves your Mac
When you save a page, Readaria fetches that page from the site that publishes it, as a browser would. When you follow a publication or ask for its latest issues, Readaria reads that site's public feed. When you sign in to a publication, the sign-in happens between you and that site, inside the app, and the site's cookies stay on your Mac. The voice runs on your Mac and sends nothing anywhere. On launch, the app asks readaria.app whether a newer version exists; that request carries the version you have and nothing about you.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no analytics, no crash reporting that identifies you, and no tracking in the app or on this site.
Browser extensions
The Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Zen extensions read the page you are looking at only when you press the Readaria button, and hand it to the app on your Mac. They do not watch your browsing.
